National Award Winning Advocate

About Chris Hansen

When the Most Reverend John Smith, Bishop of Trenton, found out about Deacon Chris Hansen’s National Advocacy Award and his years of ministry to workers he began referring to Chris’ work as his Apostolate to Workers.

Chris’s pastor, Fr. Michael Vona, was so enthused about the work Chris has done in the public sector on behalf of the self-employed that he insisted Chris continue and expand that work as a ministry at St. Catherine of Siena parish in
Farmingdale, NJ.

Leading Work Ministry

Chris Hansen’s work ministry is the culmination of over 30 years of leadership in the Church, and in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. He has founded numerous Church ministries, created business organizations, instituted
and led public/private partnerships and business coalitions, created an international membership organization, and successfully started five businesses.

A History of Community Service

During the past 15 years Chris has had his own television show, a regular weekly newspaper column, been an elected public official, was a Chamber of Commerce leader, and lobbied state and federal government on behalf of economic justice
for the self-employed.

Since 9-11 he has been actively involved in job ministry, conducting seminars and providing job coaching.

National Award Winner

In October of 2003 Chris was awarded the prestigious National Homebased Business Advocacy Award by the U. S. Small Business Administration. He has subsequently been  invited to discuss his ideas on job creation in Washington, D.C.

Leading the Future of Work

Chris conducts work seminars and workshops and addresses organizations of all sizes on the principles of work success. He is working on his first book Creating the Future of Work, interviewing leaders in business, education, economics; futurists, legislators, and leaders in the field of human resources.

Chris works with a broad range of expert associates in his firm CLH Associates.
